The Scandal of Obedience - by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

Believer -  It is not about living by and trusting in our own acts of religious works, obedience to the commands of the law of Moses, or obedience to MAN’S religious leadership for righteousness.

The Grace Life - Living by Grace is about trusting in Christ righteous act of obedience in HIS WORK OF THE CROSS (Christ death, burial and resurrection) and His free gift of righteousness alone as our righteousness and blessedness alone (this is the Gospel of Grace).

Man’s human efforts/works of obedience for righteousness and blessing is not Grace. Faith in the truth of the Gospel through the Holy Spirit is the obedience that is by Grace and not of works that results in the blessedness of righteousness.  We now have become obedient, we now have obedient hearts, we now are obedient sons of God (not slaves of sin) by the gift of God’s Grace

Scriptures:
1 Peter 1:22 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition - Since by your OBEDIENCE TO THE TRUTH THROUGH THE [HOLY] SPIRIT you have purified your hearts …

New Living Translation: “You were cleansed from your sins when you OBEYED THE TRUTH …”

“… you who were once slaves of sin HAVE BECOME OBEDIENT from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed.” Rom 6:17 RSV Translation

Rom 1:5 NIV - Through him (Jesus) we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles TO THE OBEDIENCE THAT COMES FROM FAITH for his name’s sake.

Rom 6:17 - But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but YE HAVE OBEYED FROM THE HEART THAT FORM OF DOCTRINE (RF – The Gospel) which was deliv
ered you.

Christ Himself –
is our FreedomFreedom is in Christ Alone

by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

Isaiah 55 New King James Version (NKJV)

An Invitation to Abundant Life (The Grace Life / Living by Grace)
1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.

2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.

3 Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.

4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.

5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”

Believer we are encouraged to stand fast in Christ Freedom:

Galatians 5:1(NKJV) - Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

I like this translation:
"Christ has set us free IN FREEDOM;" (Darby Bible Translation)

Praise God for: "The Freedom of Christ". Question: Do you have Freedom? Answer: If you have Christ then Yes - you already have/possess Freedom! Now What? Let us learn to live by Grace (The Freedom of Christ - and what He has done for us, WHAT HE HAS: delivered, saved, redeemed, rescued, forgiven us of all our sins-taking them away, transferred us out of - darkness, transferred us into - Light, reconciled us from - sin, made us partakers of - Divine nature/Abundance of Life, given unto us; His Life/Divine nature, His Holy Spirit, son-ship/adoption, caused us to be dead to sin, caused us to be alive to God & quickened us unto all of the good free spiritual things and gifts of God even Wisdom,Knowledge, Understanding, Power and Love; He placed/positioned us securely and eternally under Grace and not under Law having taken away the enmity that was against us, placed us in the New Covenant/the ministry of the Spirit/ministry of Life and not the law of Moses/old covenant/the ministry of death/the ministry of the letter that killeth, removed us from - the dominion of sin/the kingdom of the prince of the power of the air; made us to be new creations that are DEAD to the old self/crucified the old man with Christ, given unto us a new spirit/new nature/new obedient, righteous, holy, sanctified, clean HEART/new self ALIVE to God that hears the Father's voice and delights to do His Will/new man-the hidden man of the heart/new life/HIS LIFE/new Resurrection life-seating with Christ ABOVE SATAN and the powers, dominions, principalities in high places, so we can enjoy His Freedom).

Grace Life – Living by Grace:
”Discovering the DYNAMIC LIFE of Living by God’s Grace -  a DYNAMIC LIFE of Union with Christ” A New Conference Teaching Series by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

Believer:  Living by Grace is living by “A Covenant – A Person “
“(The Person of Jesus Christ)”
Living by Grace is not living by a mixture of 2 Covenant (S) –
“Not The Law (of Moses) and Jesus”

Isa 42:6 - “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,

Isa 49:8 - Thus says the LORD: “In an acceptable time (the time of my favor, At just the right time,, In a time of good pleasure,  I have heard You, and in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You as a covenant to the people, to restore the earth, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;

Heb 8:10 - “For this is the covenant I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Heb 8:13 - In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete.

“Living the Grace Life" - by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

"The Grace Life” - is a Dynamic Life of Freely Receiving from God, a Life of Thanksgiving, Praise and Glory to God for:

What He has already done “for and in us” through ChristWhat He has already freely given and provided “in, by, through and in accordance with” the Love of His Son Jesus Christ before the foundations of the world
What He declares is now true concerning our Identity and Union with Christ

"For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a DYNAMIC spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence." - 2 Peter 1 (Amplified Bible)

"...who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" Ephesians 1:3

Good News: As Believers we are no longer alienated from the Dynamic Life of God/His Quality of Life (a life of unbroken union and fellowship with Christ!).  We celebrate our Christ Union and the strong consolation of Christ Living His Life in and through Us - Dynamically (Energetically, Vigorously, Animatedly)! -  This is how you simply “Live the Grace Life!” – Trust Him to Just Do It! –  John 17:20-26, Gal 2:20, 1 Cor 6:17

Sharing some scriptures on our Union with Christ - these are some great passages that will help and encourage us in our Grace Living - "Living the Grace Life":

Romans 6:3-5
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,

Galatians 3:27
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Romans 6:8
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

Colossians 2:11-12
and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

1 Corinthians 6:17
But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

John 17:20-26
"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; read more.

Romans 8:9-11
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Colossians 1:27
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Ephesians 5:32
This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

Romans 8:10
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

John 14:20
"In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

2 Corinthians 13:5
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test?

2 Corinthians 4:10
always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Ephesians 2:6
and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

The “Kingly Sway of God’s Great Grace” – by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

“in order that as sin has exercised kingly sway in inflicting death, so GRACE, too, may exercise KINGLY SWAY in bestowing a righteousness which results in the Life of the Ages through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Rom 5:21 Weymouth N.T

“KINGLY SWAY“ refers to Kingly power, dominion, influence, authority, and command.  The Much More Abounding Grace of Jesus Christ has the Divine “KINGLY SWAY” of power, dominion, influence, authority, and command in bestowing righteousness unto LIFE and not condemnation or judgment unto death. (Heb 1:3 , Isaiah 43:25)

Here are some New Covenant scriptures that speak of the power of The “Kingly sway” OF GOD’S GREAT GRACE and how it brings righteousness, forgiveness of sins and the very Life of Christ unto all mankind. In summary The “Kingly sway” OF GOD’S GREAT GRACE speaks to the Good News that God’s Great Grace reigns through righteousness (through the righteous obedience, redeeming and reconciling work of the Second Adam Jesus Christ) unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:21 (KJV) -  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign (R.F. have the “KINGLY SWAY”) through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord

Romans 6:14 (KJV) - For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (R.F. under “THE KINGLY SWAY OF GRACE”)

Through Adam’s act of rebellion, disobedience and sin all men stand under the power of sin and the corresponding judgment of death “many died through one man’s (Adam’s) trespass”.
Romans 5:15  But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift (of righteousness) by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
Believer – Christ Jesus is Lord and He is our God and King.  Jesus rules in righteousness, His Righteousness, His Kingly Sway of purging us of our sins (once and for all time) we now as Believers in Christ reign in righteousness, we now reign in Life!  We now reign as kings in His Righteousness even the Righteousness of God!

Romans 5:17 (Amplified Bible) - For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Great scriptures on Christ our King -

Hebrews 1:3  (KJV) - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Psa 45:6 - Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

John 8:1-11 gives us the story of woman caught in adultery and in it we can see the power of the Kingly Sway of God’s Great Grace at work (demonstrated) -

John 8:1-11 (KJV) – 1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

From this story of the women caught in adultery we can see the demonstration of “The Kingly Sway of God’s Great Grace” , Christ as God who – “blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”
Isaiah 43:25 (KJV) - I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Graciousness –

Believer, I love the word graciousness in the bible.  It is good news to know that The Lord Who is gracious has bent down and stooped in kindness towards us who were; without strength, the weaker and the inferior and through His righteous obedient act has brought unto all mankind righteousness, reconciliation, remission of sins and justification to life.
Scripture on Graciousness:  Psa 145:8 - The LORD is GRACIOUS (full of compassion, favorable, merciful, showing – having favor, pity, mercy, having pity) and slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The word graciousness per Strong’s dictionary -

Strong’s Concordance tells us that the word for GRACIOUS in the original Hebrew is:  channûwn, pronounced “khan-noon” and come from tchânan, pronounced “khaw-nan” which means to bend or stoop in kindness to an inferior; to favor, bestow; move to favor by petition, (be, find, shew) favour(-able), be (deal, give, grant (gracious(-ly), entreat, (be) merciful, have (shew) mercy (on, upon), have pity upon, to pray for, to make supplication for, to beseech, to be fair.

Christ demonstrated HIS GRACIOUSNESS unto the woman caught in adultery in not condemning her of her sin.  Also, something not often mentioned but Christ even demonstrated His graciousness to her accusers who were unable to cast the first stone because they too were “with sin”– as the scripture notes:  they left on their own accord “being convicted by their own conscience”.  Jesus did publicly condemn the accusers of their sin.
It was Christ Jesus our King who bent down (stooped down) and took upon himself the form of a man (was made flesh) and actually demonstrated His GRACIOUSNESS unto us through His work of redemption and reconciliation on the cross in his death, burial and resurrection.  The obedience of Christ in stooping down in His Graciousness has brought the free gift of righteousness and justification to life to all mankind.  Let us receive and partake of this free gift by faith in Christ.  The Good News (Word of Reconciliation, Ministry of Reconciliation) is: “God is not counting men’s trespasses against them”.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:21(NKJV) - For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Christ stooping down and taking upon Himself humanity

Paul speaks of Christ stooping down and taking upon Himself humanity as a demonstration of His Love towards us in Philippians 2:6-11 (KJV) - 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Prayer:  May you be strengthened and rejoice in thanksgiving over the Power, love and Mercy demonstrated unto you by our Lord Jesus Christ in the “Kingly Sway of God’s Great Grace.”  Amen.

Great Grace:  The Power & Privilege of Prayer and the Continuous Supply of the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of Christ) at work with, for and in us by Reginald Fleets of Reginald Fleets Ministries

In the midst of the apostle Paul’s Roman imprisonment, he spoke these words of confidence and assurance that resonate with the fullness of hope and expectation with us today as they did with Paul well over two thousand years ago:

"For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ." -  (Phil 1:19)

Believer - We live the Christian life in good times and in(through) difficult times / circumstances by and through the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  The bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ did not “die out and cease” with the former apostles but is available to the believer through the power and privilege of prayer and by God’s Great Grace in this New Covenant.  We can be confident in knowing that the power and privilege of prayer also did not “die out and cease” with the former apostles but is indeed available today. Believer let us be confident, assured and find rest in the Gospel Truth that we are not left as orphans to an impotent, weak, and powerless New Covenant void of the power of the Holy Spirit, void of God’s Great Grace and void of the Mercy of God of which are so truly and so surely available at the Throne of Grace today.

Jesus Promised the Holy Spirit and the Supply of the Spirit in John 14:17-18:  "…17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and He will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."

Our Lord and Savior Jesus promised that He would not abandon us and leave us as helpless orphans but would send the Helper (The Holy Spirit).

John 14:26Amplified Bible (AMP) - 26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

The New Covenant Promises us full access to God's Mercy and Grace to help in time of need.through the power and privilege of prayer

Believer -  we have the confidence that we can come to the throne of God’s Grace (The throne of our Heavenly Father) boldly with full-welcomed access, acceptance, privilege and entitlement as sons and daughters. As part of this New Covenant and family glory we will never be denied access, have this privilege put in question or interrogated for any individual merit of worthiness as a prerequisite to receiving the Divine Benefits of mercy and grace to help us in time of need.  Mercy and Grace will flow unto us from this throne like a never ending river, geyser, spring and fountain of living water – This my friend is “The Supply of the Spirit!” Our access as believers in Christ is solely based upon Christ Worthiness alone and not our performance.   We will always have the blessing of undeniable and mutually inclusive relationship and fellowship!

Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ brings help, deliverance and salvation.  Paul noted he was not ashamed of the salvation (The bountiful supply of the Spirit) that comes from the Gospel of God’s Grace in Rom 1:16.

Rom 1:16 (KJV)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Strong’s Concordance – “Salvation” comes from the Greek work: sōtēría, so-tay-ree'-ah; rescue or safety (physically or morally):—deliver, health, deliverance from the molestation of enemies.

From Strong’s - The word for “Salvation” in the original Hebrew used in the (Old Testament) is yĕshuw`ah -  pronounced: yesh-oo'-aw; means something saved, deliverance; aid, victory, prosperity: —deliverance, health, help(-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

And from yâshaʻ, yaw-shah'; to be safe; to free or succor, avenging, defend, deliver(-er), help, preserve, rescue, bring (having) salvation, save(-iour), get victory.
